This sounds like it will be fun. Good luck all! And welcome to the tanking world Mell. Hope you end up enjoying it, because once people find out you can tank, you'll be doing it alot! ;P

The tank did great. It was an awesome run. ;) Thanks everyone for a great experience.

Four first bosses I healed with 0 Heal Rating, my bad. I proved it to be possible ;) Thankfully, reslotting on Primodrial Dweller showed me my mistake in talismans. As I said before, I was very motivated.

Congratulations to the tank for the really great job!

Thoughts for Floryn's Tanking 101 guide
  • The advice about Consumer/Impair/Consumer/Impair (for example) for the start of each boss really helped to prepare me for when to hit the impairs as I had no idea how quickly they would come
The positioning advice was really useful - especially to stand by the branches/roots for Ur-Draug and to avoid Slam by going dodging left
The advice about slotting Martial Discipline and Stoicism for Ur-Draug was invaluable - as was when to trigger them
Talking before each boss helped to clarify who was going to do what and when
Doing it with cabal-mates made it a fun experience rather than a stressful PUG
I left it a while before attempting to tank so I had loads of good gear and could easily alter block/attack/health as needed
Our group was very experienced so even though I still had to do the tank's job of hitting the impairs, I didn't have to worry about the other roles not doing their job
Remind the healer to actually have some healing gear ;) (see last point above)

Thanks again team - Darkness War at the same time/day next week? Tuesday 14th 19.00 GMT?
