Nine Swords Nature Shots Competition


Would you like to develop a new hobby? Take a shot at our Nine Swords nature photography competition! Find a beast in it's natural habitat, take a snapshot and pair it with an interesting fact about the beast. The competition will be running from the 15th until the 28th of June.

We have four prizes for the best pictures in the following themes:

• Prettiest Picture
• Scariest Snapshot
• Funniest Photo
• Best Capture

All of the entries we receive will be voted on via a poll being set up in this thread at the end of the competition time.

The vote will run for 2 days, and winners will be announced on July 1st! The top winner in each category will be able to pick from the following prizes:

• 3 x Diabolic Warhorse [1x claimed by Katelin][1x claimed by Razorgrin]
• Buzz Bumblepup
• Black Widow spider pet
• 3 x infernal guardians. [1x claimed by Balam]
• Tagati's Guard Dog [claimed by Cassar]

Here's my take on a SWL spin of those nature documentaries about different types of ants fighting each other.

Pride Goeth Before The Fall: a pictorial essay in three steps of the journey of heroes or, the strongest light sometimes becomes the darkest shadow.

1. The Hero's Journey to Abaddon:
Lured by prophetic dreams, the hero travels far, and comes to a dark land.

2. The Apex of Heroics:
Bolstered by the gods' power, the hero stands for the Light, and wins a momentary safe space for an embattled land.

3. The Long Fall:
Heroics done, mission done, light secured, the hero falls into darkness, and darkness finds him, corrupting once-great flesh into a twisted mockery.
